Laboratories

The Master’s Degree in Accounting is held at the facilities of the Institute of Economics, Administrative and Accounting Sciences (ICEAC), at the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG), located in Building 4, Carreiros Campus.

The Program counts with two classrooms, equipped with air conditioning, white board, microcomputer, data-show, and internet access. Each room has the capacity for 45 students seated.

The Program Service Office also operates at Building 4, Carreiros Campus, next to the Coordination Office. There is also a Research Laboratory, which is a tool of integration among master’s and undergraduate students, particularly those granted with research initiation scholarships.

Two staff members are found in the Service Office, and they give support also to other graduate programs of the Institute (ICEAC). In addition, the Program has the support of the Pro-Rectory of Research and Graduate Studies, located at the University Pro-Rectories Building, which is just across from Building 4.

The laboratory is equipped with computers, furniture, air conditioning, and a minibar. The facility is used by the Group of Study, Research and Teaching in Accounting (GEPECON) and by the Center for Research and Extension/Outreach in Accounting and Finance (NUPECOF). There is a room with computers for shared use by scholarship students and a place for group meetings, project and research discussions, as well as student advisory. This structure is next to the Coordination Office and in front of the Service Office.

There are also two auditoriums (rooms 4110 and 4116), each of which has a capacity for 100 people seated, and a mini-auditorium with a capacity for 30 people seated. The auditoriums have good natural and artificial lighting with an air conditioning system. They also have adequate audiovisual resources for the activities to be developed by the Program and are located in Building 4, Carreiros Campus.

The offices of all the faculty of the Master’s Program in Accounting are also equipped with individual microcomputers with internet access, printer, and more recently with air conditioning. The rooms are located in the Annex of Building 4.
